2013 marks the 20 year solo-career-anniversary of the world-renowned hide (from X JAPAN, hide with Spread Beaver, zilch).
And to celebrate, Niconico is thrilled to bring you a special 24-hour Nico Live broadcast:
“hide Memorial Day Special 2013 -hide 24-hour Nico Live 20th Anniversary Solo Work-Special-” kicks off at 11:00 PM on Thursday, June 5th. We’ll be commending hide with Nico-er’s around the world with hide music videos, live performances, and interviews!
And as a special treat, we’ve also prepared a We Love hide Contest channel where users can show off their hide-love by creating their own hide-videos and illustrations! We started taking entries for this contest on March 22nd and will announce the winners on our 24-hour hide Special on June 2nd!

The Nico Live broadcast last year saw an amazing 450,000 viewers and 710,000 comments! We also had over 300 excellent user video entries. This year marks the big 50 for hide, so let’s make him proud and smash last year’s records!
