GACKT will perform several songs on stage as the special guest of The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert is titled "Karei naru Classic no Yuube" with two shows on December 26th at 13:30 for the day performance and 19:00 for the evening performance at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. Tickets will cost 25,000yen which includes a gift souvenir. All tickets are reserved seating.
The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra claims to be the oldest classical orchestra in Japan, having been founded in Nagoya in 1911. It moved to Tokyo in 1938 and has some 166 members as of 2005.
This will be a first occasion for this type of performance for GACKT, who considers himself an “expressionist” rather than a “singer”, which allows him to discover and offer his new and unlimited talents. A perfect showcase and challenge for GACKT indeed.
