X JAPAN: Announces New Releases and a Live

It was announced that X JAPAN held a live in Theater at Madison Square Garden (United States) on October 11, after two new releases.

The first issue concerns 「X JAPAN WORLD BEST」 and will be available on iTunes Store (in 111 countries) from May 21, 2014.

The second issue is 「X JAPAN THE WORLD ~ 初 の 全 世界 ベスト ~」 ("THE WORLD ~ X JAPAN Worldwide best-first") and is scheduled for June 17, 2014.
Inside, in addition to the songs masterpieces of X JAPAN, there will be "Without you" dedicated to HIDE, all in Live CD version.

Lustknot.: Go on Hiatus due to Vocalist's Dissociative Identity Disorder

The band will go on indefinite hiatus after its live at NAGOYA HOLIDAY NEXT on May 25th.

According to the announcement that appeared on the band's website today the reason for this decision is vocalist Yuki's poor mental health. Already two months ago he taken a break from band acitivities due to poor physical and mental health.

In today's official announcement the members state that Yuki suffers from dissociative identity disorder which makes it hard for him to continue band activities. Nobody knows how long his medical treatment will last or when he's able to resume activities, so the member decided that it's the best to put an end to the band - at least for now.

Lustknot. has actually planned to release a new CD in July but under those circumstances the release has been cancelled. Same goes for the band's two-man tour with Black Klaxon.

SUICIDE ALI: Disband

The band announced to disband this summer.

SUICIDE ALI will hold its last live at Shinsaibashi club ALIVE in Osaka on July 19th. Bassist Kozi made a short blog entry stating that he wants to give a last live without having regrets.

There isn't much information on the disbanding itself since the members didn't really comment on this announcement.

JIN and SAN (ex-.NEGA): 2 New Bands

There are two new features that relate to two ex-members of NEGA!!

Vocalist JIN decided to form a new band named "THE BLACK SWAN" and has opened the band's  official website today, on January 15th.

Since the end of last year SAN performed together with some other Visual Kei artists and named this continual session band "jikkentai NEMESIS". At their lives they covered songs, for example by girugamesh and the GazettE, but also played original songs. At their live today they announced that session band "jikkentai NEMESIS" will turn into a new formal band under the name "the:Ø". Even though there are no more information on releases and live performances the band revealed that it will commence activities this summer.

AN CAFE: guests of honor at Animethon 21

An Cafe is one of the guests of honor at Animethon 21 which will happen from August 8-10 at MacEwan University City Centre Campus in Edmonton.

Animethon is an annual anime themed festival in Edmonton, Canada. Starting out as an event dedicated to screening anime, it has now evolved into an extravaganza featuring voice actor guests from North America and musical acts from North America and even Japan. Amazing collaboration between #YoshikiClassical and #SaintSeiya. Yoshiki will premier this song on his upcoming world tour.

Yoshiki of X Japan will be singing Hero: The song will be part of the soundtrack of the animated film in CG Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary. And here's the video of Hero .




Theme song: performed by Yoshiki featuring Katie Fitzgerald from VIOLET UK "Hero (Yoshiki Classical Version)" (written by Yoshiki)

The curiosity is that this song can be heard only in those countries where it is expected the release of this highly anticipated film dedicated to the Knights of the Zodiac. This is obviously a preview of the song, the full version will be revealed only during the world tour, the first stop will be in California.

The choice of Yoshiki is not unusual: it has always been an avowed fan of the saga.

Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary should come out in Japan June 21, 2014 and increasingly in 2014 will also be released in Mexico and Peru.

AMARANYX :Stop All Activities

AMARANYX and the members' project "PSYCHE" will stop all activities this June.

In December AMARANYX' guitarist Naoto left the band and  January 1st AMARANYX went on hiatus but instead of going separated ways the remaining members decided to play together again and started their project "PSYCHE". Unfortunately this project will last only six months.

On June 29th they will perform at Ash OSAKA and cease activities after that live - and AMARANYX will disband the same day.
There are three more lives where you can see the band live: On June 26th in Tokyo, on June 27th in Nagoya and the last live on June 29th in Osaka.

Man With A Mission: North America Tour and New U.S. Album Debut

MAN WITH A MISSION  are coming back to North America with 12 dates including one date in Canada.
In December 2013 the band will sign a contract with Epic Records, one of the main labels under the American division of Sony Music, well that indeed has been done and the band will release their U.S. debut album in autumn through Epic Records which is now confirmed.

The visual kei band [MU:] is in activity and they have now joined Sherow Artist Society, the indie label owned by  KAMIJO. Having previously held VERSAILLES and MATENROU OPERA, [MU:] is looking forward to their future with Sherow.

Another news, they will  be releasing a mini-album entitled "Discovery of the AVALON", on May 21st.

Composed of five warriors who have come all the way from Outer Space to protect peace on Earth.

Calling their LIVE concerts as patrols and their tour activities as peacekeeping operation, this strongest LIVE BAND from space is aiming for unity of the whole world with love and smile through the power of their music!

Two years ago, they covered the song "Narda" by the famous KAMIKAZEE band from the Philippines. And now, they're coming back again to do more covers of Original Pinoy Music (OPM)!

This time, "Liwanag sa Dilim," which is a famous song by Rivermaya, was musically arranged into the style of these space heroes. 

In November last year, Tacloban experienced a great damage brought by Typhoon Yolanda. ANGEL-TAKA, the vocalist of the band, visited devastated areas to donate and give courage to the children. He sang to the victims of the typhoon, hoping to convey even a little, that there's always light in the dark.

We will continue supporting the victims of the typhoon, and we will be happy if you will also do what you can for the victims.

VELBET: LAST LIVE DVD RELEASE

It was announced  their last Live DVD "LAST LIVE「Sekai de motto mo kyoubou na hi」2014.03.31 TSUTAYA O-WEST" will be available for ordering from March 31st to April 11th and will be delivered in late April (5,800yen), which will include 3DVDs (including no-cut scenes of that one-man live).

Crazy★shampoo: has announced to disband in May.

The band announced to finally release its first full album this May.
But now it feels like this announcement is something like a goodbye gift for fans. Crazy★Shampoo revealed that they will disband very soon, after their one man live "testament" at Shibuya la.mama on May 18th.

After the announcement guitarist Shion tweeted:
"The comment was sudden but until May 18th we will give our very best with all our might. So please support us until that day."

On April 8th the band performed at Takadanobaba AREA and also vocalist Yoshiatsu made a short but emotional blog entry after the performance:
"There's not much to say now. I can say only one thing: You were the best. You are always the best. Always so nice. When I see you amazing people in front of me all I can think is: "Ah... For this. It's this. The thing I was searching for is this."
 [...] Only 25 minutes...
"That time when I'm breathing the same air like you, not evening knowing your names, and when our eyes are meeting and when you all are giving your very best with loud voices... That is more important to me than anything else."

No reason was given but the members thank everyone for those four years of activity and the support of all fans. There are three performances left before the members will go separated ways.

UNiTE: Dr.Yukimi announced to depart from the band.

The drummer will leave already next week. The reason for his sudden departure is health issues.

 He's suffering from pain in his lower back since last year and it's getting worse whenever he is playing the drums. The doctor told him that when he will continue being active as member of UNiTE and give lives on such a regular basis it's possible that soon his back will be damaged completely so that he will never be able to play the drums again.

Yukimi stated that even if he rests now it's still possible that he won't recover in the near future - or at all. And for him it would be too painful to make people hope for his return when in the end he won't be able to return. He also doesn't want the band to slow down, so he decided that his departure is the only possible solution. Even though leaving the band is really hard for him there's one thing that's even harder as he stated in the official comment:

Just... not being able to play the drums.

This would be more painful than anything else.

But still, there's only one live left, my birthday live.

I will put everything into it and play the drums that day.

I haven't decided what I'm going to do afterwards but as for now I will concentrate on the treatment.

Yukimi will depart after UNiTE's live at Shibuya WWW on April 19th - on his own birthday. He is part of the band for three years now, since its formation in 2011 and already made music together with Haku and Mio in their former band Canzel.

E’m～grief～: Yuze has passed away

Yuze (real name: Kubota Kei) has passed away on February 15th, at 35 years, and his mourning and flower-offering ceremony will be held at Birth SHINJUKU on April 26th.

ERIZA: New Project of Yuuki (ex-UnsraW)

It has been three years since the departure of UnsraW's vocalist Yuuki. 

 He has started a new project now.

The name of this project is "ERIZA" and you can already follow the official band account on twitter (@Eriza_official). The band will hold its first live "JASON NIGHT" at Ikebukuro EDGE on June 13th. This venue is quite special for Yuuki. It's the live house where UnsraW held it's very last live two years ago.

Right now there is only the drummer of this new project. His name is Tatsuru and he has acted as support member for Visual Kei bands bremen and @NNIVERSARY.

Femme Fatale: New band of Kaya

Back in February Kaya revealed, during his one-man live tour "Gothic Elements" tour final,  the creation of his new band "Femme Fatale" .

support bassist is Toshi (who played for A (Ace), a band that will stop all activities in April).

The band's first single is titled "FREYA" and will drop on May 28th, in 2 version.

JACKMAN: New release and lost Ba. Yu-ta

 Jackman will release a  new single “Shintou Humanism” that is scheduled to be released on April 23rd. 

“Shintou Humanism” comes in two different types:

Type A includes the songs “innocent humans” and “hate”

 Type B includes “innocent humans” and “sakura”. 

Since the announcement for this new single Jackman lost one member – bassist Yu-ta.

He didn’t depart but was actually fired. The reason for such strict measures was the absence of the bassist from a live and the rehearsals. He didn’t appear at the band's live at Shinjuku URGA on March 16th and the other members as well as staff and label weren’t able to come into contact with him, so the band had to perform with only three members. As result he was fired from the band on March 21st.

The band won’t cancel its upcoming lives and continue as three-member band.
