Una triste notizia per gli appassionati di J-music:
L'artista Ken Morioka [ex- SOFT BALLET; minus (-)] è deceduto il 3 Giugno a causa di un improvvisa insufficienza cardiaca. La notizia viene diffusa da un messaggio di suo fratello attraverso i canali ufficiali dell'artista.
Questo il triste messaggio del fratello Kei:
"Ho qualcosa di importante da dire, ma mi scuso che deve essere detto a voi come questo.
Ken Morioka (età 49) è morto il 3 Giugno 2016 dopo aver sperimentato insufficienza cardiaca.
Il suo funerale è già stato tenuto, e comprendeva solo i membri della famiglia.
Non abbiamo nulla, ma la gratitudine nei confronti delle persone che lo hanno sostenuto nel corso degli anni.
Al suo posto, vi ringrazio dal profondo del mio cuore.
Inoltre, mentre noi non abbiamo deciso quale forma sarà in, vorremmo organizzare un evento d'addio per lui.
Vi informeremo dei dettagli quando vengono decise. Cordiali saluti.

Alcune parole per ricordare il suo contributo alla musica giapponese in questi anni:
Ken Morioka inizia la sua carriera insieme a Maki Fujii e Ryoichi Endo, con la band SOFT BALLET, un gruppo di musica elettronica giapponese, formatosi nel 1986.
I SOFT BALLET vengono considerati i pionieri della musica elettronica moderna in Giappone negli anni 90 e la band prenderà la maggior parte degli anni della carriera di Ken, fino la giorno dello scioglimento effettivo avvenuto il 17 Dicembre 2013.
Nonostante questo, grazie al grande seguito di fans e il successo che si era creato su di loro, la band continuò a rilasciare lavori anche dopo la fine.
Come solista Ken Morioka è sempre stato attivo in vari progetti, che lo vedevano coinvolto ancora nei suoi ultimi giorni.
Fu coinvolto in flusso costante di singoli e album tra cui collaborazioni con altri grandi esponenti della musica, come Daijiro Nozawa, la band ZIZ, Mell, Tomoyasu Hotei, Kaya, Buck-Tick, and more.
Ha contribuito alle colonne sonore, come il gioco "Dream Club Zero", il film "記憶の音楽Gb", e "Ghost In The Shell Tribute Album Ver 2.0.0".
Nel 2013 Ken ha partecipato come supporto al gruppo KA.F.KA, guidato da Masami Tsuchiya, e ad un gruppo formato per una performance postuma di hide con Tetsu (D'ERLANGER), J (LUNA SEA), Hisashi Imai ( BUCK-TICK) e Hisashi (GLAY).
Nel 2014, Ken ha annunciato che lui e Maki Fujii sarebbero tornati insieme per formare un nuovo gruppo chiamato menus(-). Insieme hanno pubblicato due mini-album fino al 2014 e il 2015, D e G,
Ultimo progetto che lo aveva visto coinvolto, è stata la sua partecipazione al primo rilascio di Asagi (D) come solo project.
A seguito di questo tragico evento minus(-) ha annullato i loro prossimi eventi, ma pianificano di tornare dopo una breve pausa.

The artist Ken Morioka [ex-SOFT BALLET; minus (-)] died on June 3rd due to a sudden heart failure. The news was spread by his brother with a message through official channels by the artist.
This is the sad message of the brother Kei:
"I have something important to tell you, but I apologize that it has to be told to you like this.
Ken Morioka (aged 49) died on June 3rd, 2016 after experiencing heart failure.
His funeral has already been held, and included only family members.
We have nothing but gratitude towards the people who have supported him over the years.
In his place, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Furthermore, while we have not decided what form it will be in, we would like to organize a farewell event for him.

Some words to remember his contribution to Japanese music in recent years:
Ken Morioka began his career with Maki Fujii and Ryoichi Endo, with the band SOFT BALLET, a group of Japanese electronic music, formed in 1986.
The SOFT BALLET are considered pioneers of modern electronic music in Japan in the 90's and the band will take the most years of Ken's career, until the day of the disbandment on December 17, 2013.
Despite this, thanks to the large following of fans and the success that had been created over them, the band continued to release out work after the end.
As soloist Ken Morioka has always been active in various projects, that saw him still involved in his final days.
He was involved in a constant stream of singles and albums including collaborating with other great exponents of music, as Daijiro Nozawa, the band ZIZ, Mell, Tomoyasu Hotei, Kaya, Buck-Tick, and more.
He has contributed to the soundtrack as the game "Dream Club Zero", the movie "記憶の音楽Gb", and "Ghost In The Shell Tribute Album Ver 2.0.0".
In 2013, Ken has participated as a support to KA.F.KA group, led by Masami Tsuchiya, and a group formed for a posthumous performance of hide, with Tetsu (D'ERLANGER), J (LUNA SEA), Hisashi Imai ( BUCK-TICK) and Hisashi (GLAY).
In 2014, Ken announced that he and Maki Fujii would return together to form a new group called menus (-). Together they released two mini-albums until 2014 and 2015, D and G,
Latest project that saw him involved, it was his participation in the first release of Asagi (D) as a solo project.
Following this tragic event minus (-) has canceled their upcoming events, but plan to come back after a short break.
