Il 16 Maggio Yoshiki si è dovuto sottoporre ad un intervento chirurgico alla cervicale al Cedars-Sinai Hospital di Los Angeles. Gli è stato diagnosticato “stenosi cervicale foraminale” a causa del suo intenso stile di suonare la batteri e l'intervento è consistito nell'inserire un disco artificiale tra le vertebre.
Dopo aver sofferto di un ernia del disco che si è aggravata negli ultimi sei mesi, YOSHIKI ha sperimentato sintomi tra cui intorpidimento e grave paralisi della mano sinistra e del braccio che lo hanno portato a fare degli esami.
Yoshiki a quanto pare aveva raggiunto il limite a causa dei suoi programmi intensivi avuti sul finire dell'anno: con gli spettacoli a Visual Japan Summit Festival, Yoshiki Classical Special in Giappone, Hong Kong, Carnegie Hall a New York e Wembley Arena di Londra, oltre viaggio per più di 20 festival cinematografici a livello mondiale per promuovere il documentario WE ARE X.
Yoshiki si è dimostrato un pò preoccupato in vista dell'operazione ma ha sempre continuato a tenere informati i fans e a ringraziarli per il supporto.
Secondo il medico, subito dopo l'intervento chirurgico Yoshiki avrebbe fatto fatica a usare la voce ma nei prossimi mesi avrebbe recuperato.
Comunque non è chiaro quanto sarà il tempo di recupero per vedere i miglioramenti nei suoi movimenti che riguardano il colle e il suo braccio sinistro.
Per quanto riguarda il “X Japan World Tour 2017 We Are X” in programma nel mese di luglio, i Yoshiki Premium Dinner Show in agosto e settembre, e le altre date del tour mondiale degli X JAPAN, le decisioni saranno prese sulla base di suo recupero.
Tramite i social Yoshiki condivide le sue foto post operazione e aggiorna sulla sua riabilitazione, che è iniziata gia qualche ora dopo l'operazione. Ha ringraziato tutti i suoi dottori e scherza sulla sua nuova condizione di Ironman ma spera di tornare a suonare come prima presto. Gia fa programmi su dove gli piacerebbe tornare e questa sua voglia di tornare è un buon segno. Il dottore lo ha informato che potrà viaggiare solo però diverse settimane dall'operazione.
La notizia che ha sorpreso i fan è stata comunque è stato l'annuncio che dopo il 9 Giugno annuncerà le date del tour solista e con la band X JAPAN.
Molti sono felici e in trepida attesa ma speriamo che Yoshiki si dia maggior tempo per riprendersi dall'operazione, dato che non è il caso che sforzi troppo il suo corpo ancora, dato anche che la ferita gli provoca ancora dolore.

On May 16 Yoshiki has undergo cervical surgery operation at the Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. The state was diagnosed as "foraminital cervical stenosis" because of its intense style of playing the bacteria and the intervention consisted of inserting an artificial disk between the vertebrae.
After suffering from a disk hernia that has been aggravated over the past six months, YOSHIKI has experienced symptoms including numbness and severe paralysis of the left hand and arm that led to examinations.
Yoshiki seems to have reached the limit because of its intensive programs at the end of the year: with the shows a Visual Japan Summit festival, the special Yoshiki Classico in Japan, Hong Kong, New York's Carnegie Hall and London's Wembley Arena, Over travel to more than 20 film festivals worldwide to promote the documentary WE ARE X.
Yoshiki proved a little worried about the deal, but he kept on keeping the fans informed and thanking them for the support.
According to the doctor, shortly after surgery Yoshiki would have been struggling to use the voice but in the coming months he would recover.
However, it is not clear how much time will be spent to see the improvements in his movements regarding the collar and his left arm.
As for the "X Japan World Tour 2017 we are X" scheduled in July, the Yoshiki Premium Show of August and September, and other dates of the X JAPAN World Tour, the decisions will be taken based on its Recovery.
